Being a webmaster is one of the most rewarding things one can do. It gives you the freedom to explore new things while making money at what you love. However, lets face it, there are times when that is not enough to pay the bills. I am currently facing that situation. I went looking for something in a related field and I ran across TTS Media.
They specialize in Advertising Jobs for people like you and I who want to stay connected to the webmaster world. They offer jobs in the advertising, marketing, public relations, and all connected fields. They are the middle man for big companies to find the best business people who they might not otherwise find by running just want ads.
I found several New York Marketing Jobs that fit with what I am looking for. It is very easy to upload your resume and apply for the job that you may be interested in. Once you apply, the company will keep you up to date on the most recent job offerings that fit your needs and qualifications. All job listings are clearly marked with all details including what experience is required.
This is a great site designed for people like us and they have several listings that make it easy to find the right position. I have included a couple of links to the site if any of you are looking for employment. If any of you use the services, please feel free to share your experience with the rest of the readers by leaving a comment or two.

I posted a while back that my humble blog got listed on DMOZ. I thought it was cool and maybe I could get some benefits. However, I checked yesterday and it was no longer in their directory. I am not sure what is up with that it restores my opinion that DMOZ sucks. They use to be the end all to be all for web directories but now they offer very little benefits for the hassle to list with them.
Just to navigate their massive categories will give any webmaster a headache. I received 5 visits in over a month from their directory and maybe that was their editors. Oh well, I guess I really did not need them anyway.
What is your opinion of DMOZ?

You can be the best Search Engine Optimizer in the business but one thing is for sure, no matter how much SEO you do, it never ends. I have 8 blogs now and I spend more time getting traffic and optimizing my blogs for the search engine than I do posting.
It is a never ending process because there are many factors that affect your results. If you build tons of links pointing to your site, Google, Yahoo, and the other search engines will find you. However, you may loss links because a site removes them, they shut down, or one of the search engines gives that link less value. That is the main reason you must constantly be adding more links, submitting to more directories and tweaking your websites to make sure you do not lose your rankings.
I swore that after I started my seventh blog that I was finished. Now I have taken on my eighth blog. A few days ago, I released Your Review. This is a blog that will be reviewing all kinds of products and services. I have been working hard to get the site optimized for the search engine. Google has been slow to list it unlike my other blogs. Oh well, as always, I will be plugging away at my Search Engine Optimization.
I always tell everyone, “SEO is a slow tedious process but the results will be amazing if you stick around for the a while.” OK, back to work on the never ending SEO!
Drop me a comment so I know real life people are still there!

I still see many people throughout the many webmaster forums claiming to make huge amounts of money through blogging. They claim that they set up a blog, copy several articles from elsewhere and start making a couple a thousand or more a month in the first three months.
Guess what? That is 99% bull mixed with a huge load of dog crap. Most blogs make a little money and the more blogs you have, the more you may make. You can make money from blogging and many earn a nice income each month. However, creating one blog and becoming rich is rare.
There are a few big names in blogging such as Shoemoney and John Chow. However, these are rare cases of bloggers who have become major successes. It does not mean that every blog that is created will make you a millionaire. It takes hard work, dedication, and lots of patience. You also have to spend money running contest, advertising, creating controversy, and more.
Can you get rich from blogging? Yes, however, as I stated, it is rare to earn huge money from one blog. Instead, try to build the best blog you can and work hard to provide great posts that are unique and full of good information. The blog will build over time and at some point, you can earn a descent amount of money through ads and affiliate links. Until that point, just have fun and enjoy your blog. If you are in blogging just to make money, there are easier ways to earn money.
If you became rich by blogging, please share your story by leaving a comment or two.
