Blogging is tons of fun and it can be a great pastime. People create blogs for various reasons. Some create blogs as a business venture and to create an income. This is great and can create a nice part-time income. However, some people just want a blog to have fun and update friends and family or to socialize. That is where free blog sites come in the picture.
We all know about the most common ones like Blogger and Wordpress which offer free blogs to users. However, many casual blogger do not realize that there are more options out there. Thoughts.com is one of those options. This site is pretty cool and offers many cool features to add fun and excitement to your blogging experience.
The first time I heard about this site, I thought it was just another free blog site. However, once I ventured into their community, I was surprised at the warm community feeling that it gives off. They allow video uploading, picture uploading, and unlimited bandwidth. This is great to have a free blog that allows these features without having to find a separate host for the pictures and videos. They even host your podcasts and have easy to integrate features to share all of them on your blog.
If you are a novice or a longtime blogger, there is something in this community to attract and keep you coming back. The add a-friend features almost gives it a Facebook like feel.
I suggest you visit thoughts.com and check out what they have to offer and be sure to take a tour to see some of the fine features. Get blogging within minutes and you will be hooked for life!

I love when I discover new sources to find the best web hosting. I recently was asked to do a sponsor review for Web Hosting Bluebook. This is a web hosting review site that offers information help you choose the best hosting company to meet your needs.
The first thing I noticed when visiting their site was the nice clean design of the homepage. It clearly lists the top ten cheap web hosting companies. The reviews are well written and all the information is clearly posted when you click the review button. They state all the features of each host along with the prices.
I decided that this information is the same as most review sites so I decided to check out the rest of the features on their website. Their articles are very informative and great for new webmasters. They cover some topics that are not covered on other web hosting review sites. They discuss how to set up a website and also the possibility of running a website on your own computer instead of hosting (Not a great idea). The articles give basic information but I would have loved to see more in-depth articles. However, for newbie’s, they are worth a quick read.
I moved from the articles to the forum that is included with this site. It is a great idea to have a forum. However, this forum is quite new so it is very slow and has almost no members. I am hoping that that may improve over time. I next went to the blog with has been disabled. I was a bit disappointed with that. I was looking forward to some great posts regarding hosting and other related topics.
They do offer a newsletter to keep you up to date on news and products of interest to webmaster. There are a few free Word press themes that are featured on Web Hosting Bluebook. I checked them out and they have a couple of nice ones. The final feature was a glossary of terms related to hosting that will help a new webmaster understand what everything means.
This was an overall nice website. It serves the purpose it was intended to which is to provide reviews of cheap web hosting. I would have loved to see a more active forum and a great blog. However, the website is well worth a visit for those new to web hosting or those looking to find a new web host. Feel free to check them out and let me know what you think by leaving a comment here.

We webmasters are always looking for good web hosting. The best option is to own your own server and handle everything yourself. However, this is not always possible so a webmaster needs to weed through the hosting options to find the best solution.
Web Hosting Choice is a site that is designed to help sort through the crap to bring the best web hosting sites to the top. When making your choice, it is very important to understand the terms and to understand what they offer and what you need. Their website offers a full guide and explains what to look for and what to avoid.
Like most web hosting review sites, they list the top ten and other reviews of web hosting companies. However, they also offer a way to search for something particular you may be looking for. For example, if you are looking for adult hosting, all you have to do is click on their link for that and it will show all the hosts that accept adult sites. Web Hosting Choice also has many guides from a basic guide for new webmasters to a guide about avoiding hosting scams, they try their best to inform visitors on what to look for and how to find the best web hosting.
The site is very easy to use and offers some good information. The site is not much different than many other web hosting review sites but it is worth the visit for a webmaster just starting out or someone looking for a new web host.

Computer based training is becoming huge and a great answer to many companies and professionals when it comes to updating their computer and IT knowledge. I wanted to see what else was out there for these various courses. One of the sites that offer great courses was Self Study Source. They offer tons of great courses that you can take online.
This site offers many courses and a full path to an IT certification. I checked out their site to see what it was like and what they have to offer. The main CBT course I was interested in was their windows 2008 CBT. This course offers all the information on setting up and running a Windows 2008 server. After checking out their demo video, I was convinced that this is taught by a real professional who knows his stuff.
According to their site, these courses are all taught by professional who are really in the IT field and not just any old Joe. The video courses seem very professional done and clear and easy to follow. The website is easy to navigate with easy to find course information depending on what you are looking for. In addition to the online training courses, they also offer a line of DVDs and CD-ROMS to have the learning convenient on the computer and off.
This site offers a lot of information along with the latest up to date IT training and all the material you need to get your IT certification. For me, I find it a great way to master the Window 2008 server without spending hours sitting in a class at the local community college.
