However, if you find the company you want to deal with in any part of the world, most jobs can be conducted through the Internet.
It doers not matter if you do the work yourself or hire it out, the key is to use all methods to reach an audience and achieve a top spot in the search engines like Google. Link building has always been and still stands as one of the best ways to get noticed. Along with links, you can use the many social media sites to both advertise your site and draw in a audience who will naturally wish to link to your site. Writing articles is good way to get noticed but be careful of those over used article directories because they can backfire and cause negative damage to your reputation and website.

One thing I’ve always done when looking for any kind of SEO service is to ask them what exactly their plan is to get your site to rank well. A lot (not all) of these companies will resort to shaddy tactics to get your site ranking fast at the cost of any long term results.

Article directories were great when they first came on the SEO scene. However, they became just a bed of crappy articles that were often just rewritten versions of some other article. The main point was to get your link posted all over the place. Google got wise to crap being posted for the shear benefit of getting link backs. Nowadays, Google will lower your website rankings for over doing the links from article directories. The other problem is that often people re-post these articles and remove your original links. This cause the problem of having duplicated content all over the web. This causes problems with the rankings and thus will cause negative effects to your website.
I know some so called SEO experts still swear that these directories will help your site. This was the case a few years ago before every idiot who could turn on a computer decided to start an article directory. Now they are more trash than treasure when it comes to link building.
So true! This what blogging makes harder! Competition! There are many sites that are being optimized in order to have better ranking in SE. Being 1st in the SE is hard. There are days that you are in 1st slot but how long?
