I agree! It is best to find the best deal for your situation. This may be the cheapest of it fits your needs and the company is reliable. However, it is often more prudent to pay a few dollars more to get the best hosting. When I first starting purchasing hosting, I went on eBay and purchased a great package for $9.95 a year and it sounded great. They had wonderful ratings and I thought that is was the steal of a lifetime for hosting. It was all unlimited! The best lessons in life comes from your mistakes.

My websites were down over 50% of the time. They changed servers almost weekly. They messed up two scripts which disabled a very active forum which cost me toms of time and advertising revenue. This great savings upfront cost me way more than the little savings I received. I bolted from them and never looked back. I now am super happy with my host and I find their prices on the cheap side but so far, they have delivered on all of their promises.

Thanks Albert for the comment!

I have been doing some research and it seems that its not always best to take the cheapest option, what do you think?.

Cheers, good tips, when I first got my own hosting I had loads of trouble because I originally bought the wrong hosting package.
The hosting didn't support php and my flash wouldn't work. It wasn't till I realised I had to pay more for my package to get all the support I needed.
MAKE SURE YOUR READ THE SMALL PRINT the cheap cheap prices for hosting often won't be what you want. I could have done with this article a few years ago!
Keep these great articles a-coming.

There is indeed a lot to web hosting and it does take some sort of skill to find a good provider. Basically what I think the best way is to join a forum like webhostingtalk.com and search around for reviews of your provider of choice. Doing your research before signing up for your host can go a long way. In the end, it will save you more time and headache than to just jump in feet first with some hosting provider you dont know anything about.
