Word Press: Enough With The Updates!

Published by at 12:47 pm under Uncategorized

I am not sure if you feel the same way that I do but I am getting tired of having to update Word Press all the time. It seems that there is a new update monthly. I have the Auto update plug in but still it takes some time.

I would not mind if the changes were some really cool features but the last couple of updates did not amazing as I could see. They are normally just little tweaks that do not affect most bloggers.

How do you feel about all the updates? Seen anything awesome with any of them?

Most are just fixes for small bugs and obscure security patches. Its a huge pain to update constantly though I agree, so I usually only update when I’m affected by the bugs, or security hole

We don’t even have that auto update plugin so it is even more of a pain in the butt to upgrade all the time so I absolutely agree with you.

is their security can now be trusted. I’ve heard some hackers crash their security and crash some blogs.

True enough that updates could be pretty much troublesome but I believed they are updating to fix bugs and security issues. We need to give and take in situation like this since WordPress are trying to improve the system to benefit users like us.

It takes a lot of their time to change the update too. If it isn’t necessary, I don’t think WordPress would want to waste their time to tweak the system as well. Do you agree with me?

I agree! I don’t like updating my blogs what seems like “all the time” to the latest version of wordpress. I understand why they do it, but I wish there was an easier way to manage the updates.

WordPress is free and you don’t have to update if that’s what you prefer.

A responsible webmaster would put into consideration updating whenever necessary. If you find the update to be something obscure then simply ignore it.

However, what would seem obscure for you might be something critical for another webmaster.

I agree with you, I do not have the auto update plugin though. I find that after I update some of my plugins fail to work anymore. The worst part is that the plugin makers, in some cases, do not work on the plugin any longer. So I really don’t update wordpress anymore, but then if you don’t update you can’t use some new or updated plugins…

This is not only with you, even i am also fed up updating WordPress every now and then. i think it will be nice if they just release a version which does not require update for some time.

Thanks very much for this flawless post;this is the words that keeps me on track by way of out the day. I’ve been wanting round in your web site after I heard about them from a buddy and was thrilled after I was able to find it after searching for lengthy time. Being a avid blogger, I’m glad to see others taking initivative and contributing to the community. Simply needed to comment to point out my appreciation in your web site as it is vitally difficult to do, and many writers don’t get credit score they deserve. I’m positive I’ll go to again and can spread the phrase to my friends.
